Dining Room (or should I say dining nook) Before and After

Here's the rug, in all it's $15 Target clearance glory...gave me a great excuse to use the wire platters from yet another Target clearance. I need to stay out of that store.

More Redesigns - Living Room Phase 2

I get a rug from my mom for my birthday, and I end up redoing the entire house JUST TO MAKE THIS RUG WORK. I basically swapped the living room and bedroom - moved all the 70's turquoise and orange funk into the bedroom, and pulled all the black/white/olive green calm into the living room. MUCH BETTER. (If I do say so myself). With a little furniture move, I've also added additional seating for our Battlestar Bookclub on Friday nights...

Welcome to Hitwise!

This is the Hitwise NYC office. I was asked to do some final design touches, such as lobby furniture, various artwork around the office, and the clocks and nameplates. I'm now helping with the final touches for the UK office! (I guess they like my style :)

Kaufman's Montclair NJ House

This was sort of a "Designed to Sell" for a co-worker of mine - she and her husband are into mid-century as well, so I used a lot of what they already had, just pulled everything together to help sell the house. And I did it all in just 2 days!

Bedroom Phase 2

Even though I've kept the same wall color, the black and white tones down the intensity of the green, and the brown drapes help ground all the busy patterns on the bed and rug. This phase of the room comes across (at least to myself and Jenn too) as much more calming, relaxed, and a bit more upscale than the last phase. Almost like a swanky hotel room even!

Bedroom Phase 1

Everytime I shop at IKEA with Ron I find something I have to use immediately, this time it was the duvet cover (although it was a bit too small, but I made it work)...I pulled some of the red accents from the rest of the house, and it really helped the room "pop". But the red didn't last too long - I think the red curtains didn't help my poor sleeping habits, so I changed it, AGAIN. See Bedroom Phase 2.
